Petition Against the Rezoning of Good Hope Road/Wertzville Road Intersection

Why is there a need for a commercial area when there are so many empty buildings and parcels of land along the Carlisle Pike area?? Definitely against any commercial development development !!

I am not in favor of the rezoning of up to eight parcels on the southwest corner of the Good Hope Road/ Wertzville Road intersection from Low Density Residential to Commercial.

Please keep the zoning the same.

That intersection is a nightmare. We just came home and tried to get off of 81 S. to Wertzville then Good Hope..had to pull off to right and risk our lives until traffic cleared.

This would be very unsafe. It would also detract from the neighborhood. There is a housing shortage for middle class homes. That’s what we need more of in this township.

Don’t make it commercial. There’s enough of that already. Our wild animals need space too!

We have enough craziness in this area. Do we really need to create more commercial buildings and take away more property....I vote to stop this process.

Keep the area residential as it currently is

Keep our neighborhoods safe from overzealous commercial development and the potential for crime.

Increased traffic, noise, litter and light pollution will be significantly detrimental to tax paying residents. Residents who saved and planned the purchase of their homes in a RESIDENTIALLY ZONED area. A place to raise their families and enjoy their property in peace. Peace that has already been impacted by the building of the hospital and multiple medical facilities along Wertzville & Good Hope Road. It appears as though light and noise pollution impact has not been considered. No longer can stars be seen and backyards enjoyed in peace. Additional buildings will only make it worse. Good Hope Road is to be redone by the state which will allow for increased traffic and speeding which are already a problem. Currently it’s s difficult to safely turn into AND out of driveways at both residential and commercial properties. Motorists are belligerent, and daily horn blowing has invaded our homes. Apparently the stopped lines of traffic allow for an opportunity to toss trash and filter cigarette butts out the windows of their vehicles. It’s unsafe for residents to even try and clear their yards of debris due to high traffic volume and unmonitored speed. Cyclists are already in danger, not to mention the youngsters walking to Turkey Hill. Business need to remain in designated areas that are currently zoned. Not in ZONED RESIDENTIAL area. It’s a slippery slope coming to a neighborhood near YOU too.

This is a very dangerous intersection, and we don't need more traffic in this area. Every time I-81 has an incident that causes it to back up, all the drivers get off the highway at this exit. It's already way too congested. I grew up on Lamb's Gap Road, and this was a once a beautiful Township with lots of open fields and farmland. Enough damage has already been done. Please stop before all the land is gone, and the beautiful mountains in the distance are only a memory.

Keep the southwest corner of the Wertzville Road/Good Hope Road intersection zoned residential.

Please, please leave us with some breathing room to not being overrun by commercial building!!

Stop the nonsense. Keep our community a residential community. Say No!!!

Enough retail, enough residential, we are not and do not want to be a city with more crime, more impatient drivers, accidents, deaths, declining environment and wild life, and more inconsiderate and irresponsible individuals.
