Against Plan B proposal .
I request the authorities to drop plan B. I feel that if they start go with Plan B, then our little kids will be taking bus even before they see the sunlight during winter. I can't even imagine such a scenario. Also,consider their healthy sleeping time and safety too.

I am strongly against option 'B' of starting the elementary schools start time of 7:30AM as by doing this I do not see any benefit to small kids and parents. This spoils everything like sleeping time, family time, home work time, after school activities, very dangerous to wait at bus stop before 7AM in heavy winter and after all these family where both parents are working have to spend $4000/year per kid in after school day care. In my opinion this will screw up everything.

I think the current 9:10 start time is perfect for elementary kids and it should not be changed, at least not be pushed any earlier than 8:45. The younger kids need more sleep (10-11 hours of sleep) than the older kids, and their natural wake up time is between 7 and 8. They will have a hard time in school if they are forced to wake up at 6, they will not perform well and not be happy. It is also not good for their health and growth. They will be waiting for the bus in the dark in snowy and bitterly cold winter days. Also school dismissal at 2:10 is immensely problematic for families with two working parents. They have to pay for significant extra $ for after school care, and quality family time is taken away since they have to go to bed between 7 to 8. When they will sleep so early home work can not be done. After school program taking will be difficult as they can not be picked up at 3 or 3.30PM as parents will be in the office.Please do not compromise the health and well-being of our younger kids as they build the foundation for future success.

Yes to status quo until we find a win/win solution. We have strong concerns over SAFETY and less quality family time under proposed scenario B.

I would like Greenwood and Oakwood aligned with other 6 elementary schools and start at 9am. There is no reason why these 2 should be separated out, just because of scarcity of buses. Please increase the number of buses than making kids suffer. Devise a way to make every school start beyond 8am, which is much beneficial for everyone.

I am in favor of the Status Quo scenario and against the Research-aligned Scenario. Further, Greenwood and Oakwood Elementary schools should be aligned with the other, later, elementary school start times. Thank you.
