Seriously though there are almost 400 signatures of people who don't even agree with each other, so what you end up with is nothing. Which what some signees want, they are the only people who will win. Time to move off the NIMBY attitudes and get serious about Brampton's future, because this petition only moves the city backwards.

Please please don't ruin our beautiful downtown. Running through residential areas is not the best idea.

We need a much better GO service, not the LRT!

Brampton needs a local transit solution that reflects Brampton priorities not a Metrolinx regional imposed "better than nothing, take it or leave it" choice.

Stop it at the Steeles Terminal!

I totally agree. Running a LRT through our downtown would destroy the exisiting downtown businesses and should be rerouted east or west of downtown. to run north.

The LRT route is ridiculous for Brampton

Stop the LRT at Steeles transit hub and select the best alternate route to serve more Brampton residents. East on Steeles, north on Kennedy with a stop at the new Peel Memorial site.

Stay off of Main Street. Take the Queen Street loop by the hospital. More benefits and preserve our downtown.

That's what this is doing. Have you been downtown brampton? Have you seen the businesses there? Have you seen the dozen or so empty stores along main and queen? Y'all are killing me. The government is paying for this out of there pocket. It's essentially free for brampton residents so we have the financial flexibility to improve downtown Brampton in other ways. You want a vibrate downtown core, you need a viable artery to transport traffic to this core. This is it. Roads and buses are not the future. They are the present and at present they are not helping.

This route will kill the downtown core.

I think Brampton Council should forget about the LRT and concentrate its efforts on improving the downtown core.

I do not want to see an LRT going up Main Street, in Brampton at all What will become of our beautiful heritage street & homes, not to mention the trees. How are passengers to board & leave the LRT at STOPS? Block traffic with people walking out from the curb to board, & exit the LRT & impede traffic while moving from the LRT to the curb? Bad idea all 'round!

It seems to me there are complications of running the line on Main street north of Steeles that have not been addressed.

Joni Mitchell said it all. "They took all the trees, put'em in a tree museum and the charged the people a dollar and a half to see 'm......they paved Paradise and put up a parking lot."

In favour of routing the LRT through the more commercial areas of McLaughlin or Kennnedy.

Let's not rush to a hasty decision just because we are being offered funds. Has a poll been conducted to see what the "ridership" is predicted to be for any of the proposed routes. I really can't imagine that there are enough people who would use it if it runs through downtown historic Brampton. And let's not ruin the few good events we have established on Main St or including Main St. i.e. farmer's market, Santa Claus parade, RibFest etc. Let's do the research first!

I think the LRT is a complete waste of money. We a have a very efficient bus system, both in Brampton and Mississauga and no one can convince me that it will help Bramptons economy.
