You represent all your constituents whether or not they voted for you. There is a feeling that you are a career politician in a safe Conservative seat who doesn't care about the people in your constituency. I hope West Oxfordshire Conservative Party rethink their support for you and I hope get another candidate for the next election.

It is hard to overstate the disgust I feel for the action of Robert Courts in voting to actually prevent hungry children from disadvantaged backgrounds from getting help with meals during holiday times. Courts does not represent me.

It’s clear there is a good deal of affluence in this area but there are also people struggling to put food on the table. Any of us could find ourselves in that position in the future so while we can we need to support those who need help.

I hate that once again children and those in need are the ones hardest hit when we happily bail out multimillion pound companies and billionaires. Shows just how corrupt our government is.

These are challenging times without the added pressure and risk that poverty brings. How can we expect to come together as a country to fight this virus when some people are struggling to put food on the table? The cost is small in comparison to the positive social impact we would get by helping the children in our poorest families to eat. The issue is so great local businesses are stepping in where the government has failed. As amazing as this is it should not have to be the case. Being able to eat is a basic human right and everything we wish to achieve over-and-above this fails if this basic need is not met.

These are extraordinary times that require you to do the right thing, We cannot rely on systems that require generosity from the bottom whilst the top makes cruel decisions. If you have ever had to teach/care for a hungry child you would know why this could make all the difference.
