I vote NO to the rezoning of Cactus and Reems for Multi-family housing, it simply does not belong here.
As a homeowner, I want something that will complement and be helpful to our neighborhood. You have 3 of the nicest neighborhoods and higher valued homes surrounding this intersection, multi-housing will not complement or raise the value of our homes, on the contrary it will add 100's of cars, 1000's of people and will change the 'residential' feel of the area to that of an 'urban' sprall. This is especially true in that the area is already lacking in various commercial services & amenities (restaurants, gas stations, shopping, etc.).

No apartments because it increases traffic flow, brings down house values, & crime.

I vote No to the rezoning of Cactus and Reems. Multi-family housing does not belong here. The city has an opportunity to really shape Surprise and make it a nice city. How about move the apartments to downtown Surprise and make them higher end like the Desert Ridge area. This will help drive businesses to that area around the ballpark and provide close residents to help the businesses succeed. If other cities are doing it why can't we?
The homeowners around here want something that will complement and be helpful to our neighborhood. You have 3 of the nicest neighborhoods and higher valued homes surrounding this intersection, multi-housing will not complement or raise the value of our homes.

We need more commercial/services around not just put more people without service and create more traffic.

We don't need this! I love my house and the price it is appraised at! And besides I agree it is zoned commercial. Was told it wouldn't change when bought house!
