Young minds! Youth leaders! Africans, our time is here. An African is heading toward a big accomplishment! Rachad Farah, Djiboutian, has enlisted to be the head of UNESCO by the end of this year 2013. African, Arab, Asian and Latin American heads of states are supporting his candidacy. Europe and North America are against this. We need to to gather 10 000 signatures from African young leaders to tell the world that we support this endeavor that will put our African continent on the international stage! Please do sign, share, and let's get to this incredible milestone!
The feedback from across the continent has been powerful because it proves we are tired of being sidelined in international decisions. I have been spending my time reaching out to student groups to ensure our message reaches the people who actually decide the future of UNESCO. Silence from the powers that be is not an option for us.
