Why Make END AIDS BY 2030 Goal No. 1 in the Post 2015 Development Agenda
· The MDGs recognised reversing the AIDS epidemic as a key target for development progress. The results have been unprecedented. It put10 million people living with HIV on life-saving treatment compared to less than 50,000 in 2001. New HIV infections have declined by 33% over the past decade and the health, welfare and human dignity of millions of people have been restored.
· The UN Secretary General has called for a future free of AIDS, the AU has called for the eradication of AIDS, TB and Malaria by 2030 and the US Government has called for an AIDS free generation.
· Africa must follow through on this ambition and call for a standalone goal on ending the AIDS epidemic in the Post-2015 development framework. This goal needs to includes targets and indicators that go beyond health committing countries to action on ending stigma and discrimination and that addresses the social determinants of health.
· The call to end AIDS will ensure the international community does not turn its back on the millions of people affected by HIV. It will be crucial in championing the role of human rights, human dignity, equity, social justice and the distribution of opportunity, in delivering health and development outcomes

Let us use current interventions focusing on key populations potential to spread HIV. We should also maximize our efforts to reach those people in need of treatment. Our hard work and commitment will determine our achievements in 2030.

young people living with HIV in Rwanda through KIGALI HOPE Association are ready to do anything to protect other young people from getting infected with HIV
I am signing this because it is very important to me because i was born HIV positive and the challenges that I have faced are so bad that i would do anything to protect other children from being like me
The global community has set an ambitious vision for itself: a TB-free world. Getting there will require a massive, coordinated, and urgent mobilisation of all available resources – human, financial, and technical. We need new drugs that can treat TB more quickly and effectively. We need to speed up the uptake of new, rapid diagnostic tests. We must redouble our efforts to find an effective vaccine to prevent TB. And we must strengthen our health systems to be able to deliver these new products efficiently to the people who need them most.
AIDS has to come to an end- efforts and resources have been put, we start with TB elimination
We need a variety of interventions to end HIV/AIDS,,including PreP for the negatives that are at high risk of getting infected/key populations simply!

i am signing this because it is very important ,as Executive director of Kigali Hope Association -network of young people infected with HIV in Rwanda ,the challenges that young people living with HIV face are so bad that we would do anything to protect other young people from getting infected. we dream free HIV genreation.
