In early 2011, the film and television incentive fund managed by the Tennessee Film, Entertainment & Music Commission will be depleted. This leaves our film, television and music industries in a precarious position as one of only a handful of states without competitive incentives used to attract production projects to the state. The negative economic impact will be felt not only by the thousands who make their living in Tennessee's entertainment industry, but by all the vendors who thrive on local purchases made by productions companies while at work. It also negatively affects the many communities who see an immediate infusion of dollars into their local economies when a film or television production spends 30 to 45 days living and working in their county, their city, their community. Without film and television incentives in Tennessee, our crew will be forced to move to nearby states to work. Our talented cast will not be able to work at home. The industry for which Tennessee is recognized worldwide will suffer a crippling blow. Please support incentives for Tennessee's entertainment industry now! The futures of many depend on you!

one thousand signatures just popped up on the screen and honestly my jaw is on the floor because I just started this out of pure frustration one night while staring at my empty calendar. My phone has been vibrating non stop with notifications and it is wild to think that so many people are actually worried about the future of our local crews and vendors just like I am.

I just looked at the count and we are nearly at one thousand names which is wild because I honestly did not think this would move this fast when I first wrote it up in my kitchen. If you know anyone who missed this you should probably ping them right now because we really need to show them that we are not just a handful of people but a whole industry that is ready to work.

We are grinding toward that hundred mark and honestly my coffee is cold but my brain is buzzing because who would have thought so many people care about our film crews. If you could just ping someone you know right now and tell them to add their name maybe we can actually hit that milestone before the day is over.

Keep the money in TN. Tons of local businesses like restaurants and hardware stores lose out when these shows pick up and move away.

Just do it. It helps the whole economy not just the film people.
