o the LGBTQ+ evangelical kid or #leeuniversity student: you are not a mistake. You are not less. You are not crazy.
You are created glorious and good. Your body, your emotions, your desires, and your love are worthy and honoring to God.
You have more to teach the Church than all 100 straight white men who will speak in chapel this year.
You are beautiful, you belong, and you deserve to be protected.
To @leeuniversity and the evangelical church: how dare you.
How dare you attempt to diminish the image of God in your own students.
How dare you preach chains to the prisoner and hatred to the oppressed?
How dare you claim to teach science (let alone ethics, or justice) while continuing to hide your own fear behind the debunked belief that queerness is nothing more than an action or a choice?
If the Holy Spirit you worship is wide enough to give gifts of tongues and healing, then She is wild enough to give gifts of queerness.

Dear students,
You are loved. You are not a mistake. You do not need to repent. You are not alone. It gets better.
