AEP is out of control!

Everybody needs to call the commissioner until they do something about this. It's absolutely ridiculous!

We barely even use our electric and it's higher then our gas heating bill. Insane!

Rates are outrages & ppl on disability gets a check once a month after the due date of bill & charged a $200 reconnect fee tho services never disconnected its outrages. Terrible customer service!!!

Their bills are insane

I have a sawmill shed that has electric all its own, the only thing that runs on electricity there is a small portable radio. In the summer the bill for this is $6.00 a month, in the winter the bill is $24.00 a month with the same radio playing. When I called about it, they replied with the comment that it's the community rates that caused it to raise the price for the winter months. So basically what it boils down to is we are all paying for people that receive liep assistance from the government. And they still have the nerve to ask for donations on your bill for people that can't pay their bill, smh, can't afford my own anymore. $668 this month and mine has never exceeded $200!

This rate hike is insane, it is putting a hardship on many of us!!

My power bill jumped to $473 and I haven't even had heat on in 2 weeks.

They are becoming ridiculous in order for my brother to have electric he has to pay the previous bills that was on the property which is $600.

These 18 % rate increases are ridiculous.

I draw a check my bill is usually around $180-$200 a month and in the winter it's $400-$500 never below this is crazy I do have electric heat but I use my propane heater most of the time this is insane

My Electric bill is going up all the time and we don't heat with electric not only that we put everything in our home energy efficient our electric bill is still going up after we done all that. Please stop Robing people

My bill has never been this high. This winter has been very mild ... so something not right

I can't even run my big furnace and I have a heat pump. I have to run small heaters and live in 2 rooms all winter. Use furnace only when it is below 30 and only occasionally.

Got my latest bill the other day and was shocked at the total. Being on a fixed income the price of electric is making it hard to choose between food, meds or utilities. AEP is getting as bad as the cable company.

These high bills are ridiculous. Its been the warmest winter we have had in a while, but the power bills keep going up.

I'm on fixed income live alone in a three room house and my bill was $250.00 that is crazy.

Can not afford the high bills anymore!

I have a bill for 417.13 and last month it was 377.00 and it usually 150.00.. I have to go on average in order be able pay my bill

Had commercial electric through this company as partnership in a small 400-600 square foot business. During our run we received 1 months bill no deposits, late charges or other fees of almost $600.00 and the best explanation was it was close to what previous owners used in that month. Later noticed that we were then receiving additional $66.00 deposit onto an original $522.00 to be added to our monthly bills because of our bill had became so high. Closed the business first of the year to not have to worry with the next year of taxes. Our final bill reflected that for the month of December we used 1488 KWH for the full month of operation. Keep in mind the thermostat was broken all month so this isn't well it's cold and that's heat charges because there was not heat. January 1st-11th no heat, no lights, no grill, no operation what so ever! We got a bill saying we used 1329 KWH 159 less that a fully operational month of December, best explanation was that our meter is read once but the bill goes not by what electric you use instead we are charged for the peak usage of our type of business in our area, or in laymen terms what we could have used and they think we should be charged for, not what we used, because that makes since.
