According to AEP records, Jan. 2017 we used 2502 kwh and our bill was $313, this Jan. 2018 we used 2315 kwh and our bill was $505 ! Something has to be done ! AEP needs competition.

My bill doubled for no reason. I have not used my electric heat. I have gas fireplace that I Heat with and no Christmas lights at all....

In VA. Light bills skyrocketed when there were no change. Even neiboring house that's empty had a 200 bill with no heat, no lights. Nothing running but a refrigerator. We need other options for power

My mother in law has a 12 X 60 single wide in Walkertown, Ky. No one lives there. Not a light on, no heat. The bill is 167.00. How is this possible?

People have to survive. These rates are impossible and something has to be done. We have used our woodstove for the past three months and the bill is STILL insane.

My daughter's bill more than doubled. A friend just posted a copy of his on Facebook tonight, over $1k. Mine doubled, on the budget plan.
AEP is blaming the low temperatures, but I read quite a few comments here from people who didn't use electric heat. So since they've outright lied, they should be under investigation.

My bill doubled in cost! I could not believe it when I looked at it. There is no way it has doubled in price because of how much electric I'm using. I'm using the same amount I always use.

i am sick of paying outrageous prices for eletric just because we have no other companies here to choose from, I am a single mom of 3 and can't afford to have my bill keep raising for no reason.

Our bill doubled this month even though we have lowered our thermostat to 65 & been aware of our usage. Last year my bill was much cheaper for same month even tho I kept thermostat at 70. Doesn’t make any sense.
