This is out of control, the power company at this point is merely taking advantage of middle class and lower class families. It's to a point where one has to worry whether they're going to eat or have heat. this winter has not been record-breaking cold so why the high cost in electricity is beyond me. It is my opinion that they charge whatever they want whenever they want with no concerns to the little people.

Our electric bills are insane. We bought a brand new 16 sere HE heat pump and thermostat set to 65 and 62 during the day. What if this winter was a normal one?? My electric bill would be near as high as my MORTGAGE!!!!! AEP do you even care??!!

They just keep raising the bill to the point it is almost impossible to pay. If you live on a small budget and receive a $ 700 dollar bill you just go hungry. They know you have to pay it so they just keep raising it.
