Since AEP installed their new smart meter my bill has tripled. I sit in the dark most of the time to avoid a high bill and still my bill is 500 dollars or more.

My bill doubled in January 2018, this is compared to ANY month in 6 years in same residence. Most in my community have same complaint. They tried to camoflauged by "new bills" which are very vauge and have "pretty colors", a unexplainable 36 day billing cycle and of course a holiday season with cold temperatures. Which I must note is milder than most we see in this region. I see where they have undergone numerous mergers in last few years and pending law suits in other states. Example is Ohio, where $120 million was PROVEN to be fraudantly taken from consumers. After being found guilty, they gave some customers a $60 credit years later and offered prepaid cards to many. Imagine the interest that was made on $220 million during the years the case was litigated in court. Can anyone explain what the fuel charge is and why I would be charge this fee if I opted in for 50% wind energy,or why anyone would have to request WindChoice; which is at substantially lower rate.

I'm a mother of 2 girls (11&10) and wife of a laid off coal miner while we do get unemployment it's just enough to buy what the kids need (nothing of what they want) pay the rent and this outrageous power bill!! I will never understand your rate increases to this area! It's like they're punishing part of coal mining country....just cuz they're miners don't mean we have money to throw out to AEP! this family is about to go completely off grid it's getting way out of hand!

Bills has doubled. Have reduced my usage but bills still go up. Company is definitely ripping the consumer off.

Worse of all, there is no response to customer's inquiry. I am being charged for use during a time the service was not in my name. I write but get no attention to this.

I only run heat on the coldest days. Even so my bill is nearly double what it was before this price hike. Heck this year our winter was shorter than it has ever been Ive spent half of the last two months in t-shirts because of the temperate weather!

Triple electric bill for 3 months now. My storage unit breaker is turned off, and I still received a double bill showing over 300kw usage. How can I be charged double without using electric?

This corrupt corporation has raised their prices for the month of February 2018 at their leisure in order to rob their customers of tax return money that some families will need to pay for food and survive. This is a despicable and evil company that would rape and murder you and your family if they could profit from it. They raise prices with no explanation, add fees to you bill with no notice, and charge you for watt hours even during outages in your area. Sick and tired is an understatement.
