They charge just whatever they want. Why should we pay for their upgrades, retirement and all the other bs they just add in like it's nothing.

My bill was $475 which $125 of that was just different charges,how do they think people are shouting pay their bills

I don't know how you expect the poor and people on fixed incomes to continue paying electric bills as high as they've gotten.. 400 to 500 hundred dollar electric bills is uncalled for..

Just another customer of AEP who is
Sick of being taken advantage of and over charged for the simple fact that one company holds the monopoly in our region. Our electric company claims that they care about the customer base ....
However if they really cared they would be sure to provide services at a reasonable cost and strive to keep the rates down not raise them so high people can not manage to pay. It's time for another company to step in and offer competitive rates. Maybe then we could have the satisfaction of watching the company have to reevaluate their way of thinking and operating.

A $400.00 power bill for a small 3 bedroom house? Guess that's better than in the worst of winter when it sometimes soars above 600. Shame on you AEP! Breaks my heart when I see the elderly and poor having to decide between power and food.

This is insane. My household is on a fixed income and barely pay our bills each month. With our electric bill being $500 or close to it this past bill and we didn't ask them to let us make payments then we would have nothing.

$600 plus added onto a power bill for one month is insanity and ridiculous. AEP needs fined for this nonsense and to repay its customers.
