We don't use traditional electric heat. We heat with a fireplace and our bill is still running $200+ a month. We don't have small children it is just my husband and I. We have closed off all rooms that are not used. We have confined ourselves to 3 rooms for the winter months. Explain to me how this can be remotely possible when using air conditioning in the summer is cheaper than using a fireplace in the winter.

I lived in a small 3 bedroom 2 bath house. My kWh per month usually range between 800-1200 . My last bill said I nearly used 7,000 kwhs of energy . Absolutely blew my mind. I called and spoke as to how that had come to be and they couldn't give me answer and wanted me to pay the 800$ bill. No one can afford that.

Please explain how Senior citizens, poor people struggling and young couples can survive.
We keep our heat on 64 and 66 and the bill continues to rise.
I work at a Grade school and we have students trying to survive in homes without electricity.
I do not understand how AEP continues to get away with it.

I have not used that much electricity in the month of December or January because of the weather being in a warm weather but yet my bill is still over $400 and that should never be that way I know last year maybe but not this year it makes no sense to me why my bill keep going higher and the temperature is staying about the same

Our electric bills have went up significantly over the past couple months, and it just keeps getting higher this month at $752. It's getting pretty ridiculous! I honestly don't see how they expect some people to make it!
