After living in East TN for several years, I grew used to constant rates, even in the winter, under or near $100. Here in Letcher County, my family members regularly have bills upwards of $400 - even while leaving their heat under 70 on frigid days. Luckily, my highest bill has only been $179 this year, but that is still close to $100 more than I paid last year in Johnson City at the same time. The taxes on our bills are extremely unfair.

I'm remodeling my house, not even living in it working on days off temp set and stays on one setting and still get almost a $200 bill from AEP.
I know it's not as bad as others. But my family ain't living there.

My electric bill was not this much last year I'm using propane to heat with and its $400 last year it was about $200. It was a little colder this year but I used propane so it shouldn't made a difference. I think they r guessing at it

I have been charged more for my electric bill than I believe I owe. Nothing much can do but pay it cause if not they have the right to cut it off.

I know when the weather is too hot or too cold you will use more electricity but this winter has been mild and my electric bill is almost $500 for the month of December. That is not right at all. Very disappointed
