My issue is that along with the crazy high rates, there's also ridiculous taxes attached to our bill! For example if I use $400 in electric, my total bill ends up being like $525! Something needs to give!

I have power from RECC which buys it from AEP and the sad thing is my bill is less than half of what it was with AEP. With AEP my bill was as high as $320 in the winter and never lower than $240. With RECC my highest bill (which I have been with them for 5 yrs now)$160. I've had bills as cheap as $51. With AEP my cheapest ever was $150. Now how is it a company can buy power from another company and sell it cheaper than the company producing it. I think this is all that needs to come out to see how evil AEP is. I have made sure for the last 5 years that I live where RECC has been the power supplier. The first bill I was shocked I thought something was wrong. Then the next month it was a cheap bill again. So I talked to my neighbors and they all said RECC was the cheapest they have ever had too. So if AEP can sell power to RECC cheap enough that they can sell it to me for $150 and make money why does AEP feel they need to charge me $300. It doesn't make sense now does it. So please use this info and yes I have past bills from both places if needed and yes I compared usage and yes there is that big of difference between what both places charge and all the little extras that AEP add to there bills. Instead of paying a 6 figure salary to PR reps (which they have at ever office) they could give there customers a break. All the info I have shared here has come from a AEP employee that has told me personally or I have the bill statements showing the difference. Please make these ass holes pay for all the times they put my family in a bad spot. All the Christmas present I didn't get to buy my kids because of there extremely high bills.

I believe it is a horrible thing that is happening to everyone. My power bill has raised from 150.00 to almost 600.00 and we haven't changed anything. I think that we need to read evaluate the power bill rates.

Our electric bill has over $60 in "other" charges including retirement pay for Aep employees!!! Ridiculous

On the average I am only home 10 hours out the the day and less on some days and I'm paying 200 a month. My 75 year old Mother who is on a fixed income is having to pay over 30.00. How can people do this especially when we don't get assistance Patrick no outs.

My bill is $505.00 this month! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment! This can't be right! It takes almost my entire check to pay this bill each month, PLEASE help!
