Gladys Jeffrey, KY, My Power Bill was 426.,00 for the month of Dec. I am an elderly woman that lives alone and only heat my bedroom and bathroom most of the time. I keep my heat turned down really low unless I am in the other parts of my house. I don't cook much or wash many clothes or use electric that much. Ky Power adds over a 100.00 in extra cost to my bill every month. No one, unless they are rich can keep paying these high bills.

Mine doubled last month and went up that much more this month. And we had no Christmas lights anywhere. Not even a tree!

My bill went from $257 last month to $457 this month poor people ain't going to make it especially when your sick and waiting on a lung transplant..

I live in a 1600 sq ft mobile home. My heat is on 68 degrees, just got my bill yesterday $350! And it's due the 7th

AEP does not read meters but "estimates" bill most of the time. Bill goes up even when usage goes down.

I agree they have abused their power!!!! My dad draws a acronym little check every month and because he missed a payment they wanted hindereds of dollars paid ahead to keep his power on .. they took every dime he had if not for his family he wouldn't have had money for his medications and then what ?????? They would have caused his death by their demands for ahead money that was just a complete rip off ... paid them money for nothing!!!!! Padded pockets!!!!!

They are ripping everyone off..if your power gets disconnected and you pay almost $400 to get it back on your bill shouldn't be $2,400 that's just ridiculous.. it's not the communitys fault that they screw stuff up..

We live in WV. Our power bill was $250 this month... we do not even have electric heat! We have a wood stove!
