AEP is overcharging people and most of us can't afford it.

Sick of the way they do people. They need a competitor. If there were another electric company we could all switch to then AEP would be out of business. They are a horrible company that takes advantage of the American people. They abuse people in many ways. I'd love to know how my electric bill goes from $250-$300 to $600-$700 and several occasions I've received over $900 electric bill. Just curious as to how it's possible when nothing any different is done. Just the last 2 months December and January we have barely used heat because it's been so warm, so just lights and normal appliances run but my electric bill I received yesterday is $718. How in the world is that possible that it's more this month with heat barely used than it was in December when used heat almost daily and it was a $600 and something power bill.

I'm a single mom, struggling to pay my bills and my power is the worst. I have a full time job and I'm still struggling, it's ridiculous!!!

Our bill went up over 150+ from the original amount and NOTHING had changed to cause that to happen.

I live in va and our electric bill is outrageous we get charged a deposit every time we are late paying we never get disconnected but we can't get caught up because of deposit fees!

Two bedroom house , 1 bathroom, never home work, sleep and take a shower. 1 person living here. Power bill is out of control. Something needs to happen with this situation. Low income people can not afford this. Thanks.
