Rates in our area have increased by three to six times in the past year. This is in an area that has been hit hard by the war on coal. People are struggling to survive on half their income and many elderly can not pay their bills.

My power is outrageous too much!!!! For a one 2 bed room apt!!!! That ain't even that big 160$ is too much for my apt!!!!

Last year we almost lost everything we had due to trying to keep our electric turned on, we got outrageous bills like $1k plus and was defaulted we ended up being pushed into a corner with a so called compromise of paying $397 a month until we were in good standing with AEP. We got so far behind on our other bills just trying to keep our lights on, and honestly if it wasn't for the cold weather I would've just let them cut it off and protested against it then. AEP owns their costumers, its time people stand up for themselves.

My electric bill last month was 215.00 said I used 1500 kw. This month was 596.00. Said I used 4596kw. No way. My meter is right behind my house by the door. No one ever comes and checks my meter. How do they read them. I want to know!!

Power bill keep going up 100.00 a month and I don't do anything different every month. This is ridiculous I think they are over charging people and they don't do an actual reading on the meters either they need to to their job better and do actual readings so they will stop over charging people

It is too hard to keep bills paid they are ripping people off I can barely keep all my bills paid and keep money to get my laundry done or stuff to keep toilet part and other necessities. I struggle from month to month and most of the time I can't even pay a full bill and constantly get disconnects its rediculious

If AEP had competition then all the aggravation u deal with with them wouldn't be there they can do wat they want n there's nothing u can do bout it unless u can afford to go solar which I'd do n a heart beat
