A city is many times known by its downtown. Ours needs help and has the capacity to be a blessing to the families that live here and visitors alike. Let's do this!

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Giving the grease to the ignorant, non-job making, squeaky wheels that don't want to see this project happen would set our city back decades. I'm excited for what this project has to offer! I can't wait to finally see the final product.

If we miss this opportunity now, it will ruin chances in the future, citizens and private investors will lose faith in our city government and we will lose out on tons of revenue which affects the economy in our city, other businesses, growth in all areas of our town, unemployment, and future generations to come. It would be a very poor decision to stop the process now!

I own an Amarillo based company (in the Amarillo building downtown) with additional locations in DFW and London. I fully support downtown progress and would have to carefully rethink my future intentions and investment in Amarillo if this city council were to set us back based on this false mandate of the people. An ignorant, noisy group of non-job-creators should not determine the next 30-50 years of Amarillo development.

If this city commission kills the downtown redevelopment initiative, the damage to our community in terms of economic growth and opportunity will impact us for the next 20 years. What developer would ever want to consider coming to Amarillo to invest in our city again? The fact that this is even a question is already giving us a black eye. Please don't stab us in the heart.

I think bringing this new development to downtown will help the city grow as well as give our younger generation to want to stay in Amarillo and give them and future residents something to look forward to and help us to continue to grow in the long run.

These projects are crucial to move Amarillo forward and make our city a better one for the future. I find it preposterous that we are "re-deciding a decision made 3-1/2 years ago. We must not delay and risk losing our investors.

Let's move forward and make this a town to be proud of and one we want to remain in. Stop sending everyone down I-40 and I-27 to find entertainment, shopping and dining. If this project dies, each City of Amarillo Commissioner will be personally responsible for killing each working citizen's growth potential.

We have to keep our commitments. If developers lose confidence in us, we're going to fall farther behind.

Amarillo needs downtown to continue to grow and revitalize. Let's do what we said we would with our developers.Let's make Amarillo Downtown a show place not an ill cared for blight. I've been downtown for 24 years , these Catalyst projects will propel our momentum with private developers.2015 is not the time to revert back to the abandonment of our downtown, look at the success of Oklahoma city, Abilene,Fort Worth, Dallas. Amarillo can have it's own unique place among the state because of it's downtown. We can attract bigger better Conventions and business with the catalyst projects all of them. I'd personally love to be able to go to the MPEV to see some artist perform who wouldn't come here because we have no venue suitable . We need all of the Catalyst projects and now .

A golden opportunity to move Amarillo forward is within our immediate reach. The downtown catalyst projects will create development in Amarillo's inner core that we haven't seen since the late 70's/early 80's. Let's unite and make this happen!
