As an adjunct, I would like the opportunity to teach more courses at CUNY. The current policy does limit employment opportunities for us.

Please remove the 9 hours limit so I can earn adequate salary to support my family.

Put simply, I need more courses because I need more money because NYC is a very expensive city to live in.

Again, a stupid Union rule meant to encourage hiring but in reality does damage to excellent instructors and our students.

Until 2011 the union did not enforce this provision. This is especially a hardship for our department (Queens Sociology), because we have many 4 and 6 credit courses, that I used briefly to up the pay for adjuncts.

Should add to the fight: 1) Same family rate on health insurance plan as full-timers 2) after so many semesters of teaching as an adjunct, pathway to "citizenship" (full-time) employment

The alternative workload suggestions are fair. I support being able to teach 12 hours at one campus. With the 15 hour maximum workload, teaching at least two classes at a second campus makes sense.

We should be able to make a sort of decent living wage.

I can't get more than 6 credits and I have immaculate reviews from both students and faculty. I have been teaching for 4 years.
