The 9/6 rule is inordinately taxing on adjuncts. This unnecessary stress affects their performance in the classroom, which compromises the students' education. This rule benefits no one, and it must be changed.

In additional to the 9 / 6 rule that was NOT addressed in the new contract, THERE IS ALSO THE PROBLEM WITH THIS MOST RECENT CONTRACT THAT IF AN ADJUNCT WAS NOT RENEWED DUE TO DECLINING STUDENT ENROLLMENTS, THEY WOULD NOT RECEIVE ANY RETROACTIVE PAYMENTS--due to a single semester of break in service, even after 19 years of continuous service !! ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD TO ADDRESS THESE MATTERS OF UNFAIRNESS !

Sounds like a reasonable proposition.

Hours should be more flexible.

Adjuncts who would like to work more hours should be allowed to do so. Sometimes, life dictates that we need to earn more money sometimes, and this would give us the ability to do so, as well as fill department needs for professors with more freedom.

I strongly feel this would be very beneficial, so adjuncts wouldn't have to waste so much of their time commuting from one Campus to another.

I applaud this constructive petition. The current system does not do anyone any favors, including CUNY itself--harder to get instructors in the current system.

This is an excellent way to solve problems that adjuncts face in seeking work. I had to turn down a position at my school for just this reason. Please reconsider this approach and vote in these changes. Thank you

I count on the winter course plus the 3 classes during the spring semester for the basic necessities. The current rule causes harm.
