Request an independent evaluation in writing. You can email the schools psychologist. Fight for private school or private Tutoring.

Get her an independent evaluation. LenoxHill has low cost. But must get on a waiting list. Get on the waiting list.

Get an independent evaluation. Then find an attorney through advocates for children.

Get an independent evaluation ASAP if you don't have one yet. Public schools do not help dyslexic students. My son is heading to high school next year, and still no proper reading or writing program. Public school tactics are to wear you down, add cheap services child doesn't need, delay IEP meetings, falsify service records, try sweet talking and hope time goes by quickly and pass them on to the next school. Call a dyslexic school. They'll advise you on what to do so you can get private school. Sadly, I wish I could start over with what I know now. DON'T WAIT PLEASE.

We must make reading and learning accessible for all persons with dyslexia!

I was a student with a “reading disability” and was never told I had dyslexia. I am now becoming a special education teacher in NYC to fight the battle students with all kinds of learning disabilities face.

Have you heard of Read Write Inc? Schools in the UK that teach Read Write Inc have seen a drastic decrease in the number of children with dyslexia. Come learn more at one of our 2018 workshops: http://www.ruthmiskin.com/en/training-courses/ruth-miskin-training-usa-event/
