The descendants of William the Conqueror give modern people permission to fence traffic onto the roads as there was no such thing as traffic when the King went hunting there.

Breaks my heart each time another beautiful animal is needlessly killed. I drive regularly through the forest on my way to work and witness idiots driving at speed. Using it as a cut through to avoid queues of traffic. Maybe average speed cameras oils be a good idea

Only people running a business or trying to rush for their jobs have even the remotest excuse for treating the Forest like a race track.

If there are four key routes where animals are likely to be killed, why on earth don’t we move with the times and fence those roads? Once upon a time, the A35 was unfenced too, until it became too busy. The high-risk B roads are now as busy as the A35 was then. If the A35 were still unfenced protesters and animal rights groups would rightly be calling for it to be fenced now. Let’s stop this carnage once and for all, and recognise that cars and loose animals can’t co-exist on the main through routes. Let’s leave the minor roads for the ponies and careful drivers.
