Having said that;I could imagine it being a tad difficult for very young,or old people to reach the number 7 bus stop,to Newport as the traffic can be dangerous in this area;I support the idea of giving Porchfield and Thorness a daily bus, twice daily even;and cut back on two or three of the scheduled Cowes buses

You choose a rural life? Then a rural life you get;you will have to get a bike,or walk to the nearest number 7 stop,on the main road;or club with someone to take a taxi;otherwise get this bus back in service and cut back on The Cowes service;young people should be able to manage a walk to the nearest no 7 bus stop.

Please save a service to this area. Add onto another route/s? Even twice a week isn't enough really.

Please keep this service running. It's vital for the community. I'm sure more people would use it if it was more frequent!

Cutting vital services like this will destroy rural communities. Surely there must be other ways to reduce spending.

The council should ensure that the threatened routes are saved and provide us with a proper service. Where is green isle if buses are replaced by more cars.

This is crazy, why can the council and bus services just not apply some common sense to the situation.

Porchfield and similar villages need to be on a through bus route linking two principal destination such as a Cowes - Yarmouth service running a handful of journeys each day. Anything less and useage will be patchy.

Please the buses for our villages. Havenstreet, no.33 included. Enable our children to get to school on 1 bus instead of having to change in a very very busy bus station in Newport,

You cannot, in the 21st Century, go around dropping bus services from rural villages!!
Southern Vectis charge a small fortune for their other services and have lovely new buses, so they're hardly running skint. If the Council has botched up finances, how about swapping some of their nice posh lunches for a reliable bus service?
A disgrace. Someone ought to hang their head in shame for coming up with the idea!!

The buses are a public service and therefore the public and their needs should be the main priority. They should not be seen as customers but people who rely on the buses to get around and live their life.

This bus route is actively used by many, who would have no other way to access basic community services, and would become isolated by such cuts. Don't leave Porchfield stranded!
