with all that water up there, you would of thought the council would of done something before now, because they must of known how bad the ground is.but they just sit on their hands and do nothing about it.

We have twin boys at Lentons and it's heart breaking to see the babies, children and adults like that, it's been like it for years it's about time they did something it's a joke it's hard enough to visit loved ones no one should have to see their loved ones like it the council is not showing any respect towards everyone that is resting in peace x

I think its a farce that Cov City Council can allocate hundreds of thousands to place pretty coloured blocks of plastic in stripes down the sides of multi-storey blocks of flats that have no significance at all, but they can't place a few pipes under the cemetary where people are having to wade in wellies to visit their loved ones!! It's appalling that the amount the plots cost don't cover the cost of drainage considering that these final resting places are where families have their memories and now having to fight not to see them under several inches under water!! Its a shame the council has let countless families down because they placed their faith in the Cov Council to preserve the memories of passed loved ones. Such a shame

Very sorry for the loss of your twin sons, and the idea that you placed your trust in the Coventry City Council (and a considerable sum of cash!) to preserve the memories of your boys as you lay them to rest, and they have taken your money fully knowing the conditions of the grounds and what could happen, is disgusting! I feel for your family and all the others its a disgrace that you have all been let down so badly bless you all

They would've had the land surveyed to make sure they were able to use it as grounds for this purpose years ago before they started to use it, thats when the drainage system needed to be sorted!! The land has been flooding for years and they've done nothing about it!! Watch them sort it out just before Easter when they have to use up or waste all excess monies before the the start of the next tax year so they can get their full budget!! It makes you sick!!

Do you know really bugs me is that CCC were quick enough to shout and rant for lights and toys etc to be taken out of trees and the sides of graves or they would remove them all themselves and they can't look after this cemetery properly - grrrr

We paid just under £3000 for my mum's plot at Lentons Lane,i cant even bear to visit her & my son completely refuses to as he thinks his nanny is under water, its absolutely disgusting that Coventry Council charge extortionate fees for graves that are flooded every time we have a bad bout of rain,They need to do something about it!! If i had known how bad the area got i would never have chose that plot for her!!
I think its bad there s no drainage
