Utterly disgraceful! If authorities knew about the land flooding they should never allow families to buy plots there. Not only has it been devastating for my boyfriends family to lose their father, they now have to face looking at a mess of grave when it could of undoubtedly been avoided! Please share and sign this petition so no more families have to endure more heartache after losing loved ones.

Seeing your loved ones grave is heartbreaking,we have not been this week to visit my nans grave as it is to distressing seeing her grave like that, the council charge enough for the plots, and have enough petty rules about the graves, they should therefore provide a service that is urgently required.

This flooding is a disgrace and an insult to the bereaved. It’s desecration of the highest order. How can people move forward when situations like this re-open the grieving process dragging them back down again.

I contacted the council over 12 months ago regarding this matter and a meeting was arranged at the cemetery with a Mr Greg Gavin who I believe to be head of the bereavement services who told me at the time that the council were looking into ways of resolving the flooding how ever since that meeting there has been several more burials in the problem area that they were aware flooding was a major problem. As I say this was over 12 months ago and yet nothing has been done.

The city council were well aware of this problem 4/5 yrs back when I first brought it to light they have just ignored the problem and carried on selling plots and burying peoples loved ones taking there money and not giving two hoots about there stress hurt and grief knowing it is going to cause them they just want the money that is all they are interested in its an absolute disgrace and they should hang there heads in shame !
