My name is Dr. Christina Checinski and I am a member of the New Jersey Acupuncture Society. I have an established practice in New Jersey for 6 years as well as in Florida for the past 2 years.

One very critical difference in our scope of practice between New Jersey and Florida is that in the State of Florida, AcuPoint Injection therapy is legally permitted under our scope of practice. Injection therapy differs in that a hypodermic needle attached to a syringe is used to inject natural substances directly into the body at acupuncture points.

After gaining experience using injections in Florida, I began to see the significant benefits to my patients and how this enabled me to provide better care for them.

Together, we can do that here in New Jersey. I cannot express how truly valuable I believe it would be for New Jersey to change their law and allow us to add this to our scope of practice to better serve our patients here in NJ.

I will be presenting this proposal to the NJAS at the next meeting on Tuesday, Feb 13th. I invite all of you to support this proposal.

I have already had contact with a prominent and well-respected law firm and the two senior partners believe they can help us accomplish this goal. They want to know how many of us are willing to support this endeavor. If you feel as strongly as I do that this would benefit our patients and our profession here in NJ, please join me in moving forward in this effort. There clearly is strength in numbers so please sign the petition. I will then do my best to make sure your voices are heard.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how vital this therapy is and it is overwhelming to realize how many of us share this vision for our practice. I am currently working with the legal team to prepare our formal presentation and your support is the only reason they are taking us seriously.

I strongly support AIP Therapy, which would benefit patients to recover much quicker.

As doctors of acupuncture we have received significant training and this service would greatly benefit many patients.

This should be 100% part of our scope of practice in NJ. Many other states offer this in our scope and we can significantly add to the results of patient care with AcuPoint Injection therapy. I support this!

As a patient having received acupuncture in both NJ and Fl, I have noticed better results with the injections. Having these additional services in NJ would be a game changer.

As a licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey, passing of this legislation would be a game changer for patient outcomes. NJ holds a high standard for the practice of Acupuncture, which I am proud of. I’d love for the scope to be as comprehensive as possible, offering our patients the opportunity to fully seek the best possible treatments options, that do the least amount of potential harm.

With significant further training, I believe this could be a safe and valuable addition to our scope of practice.

I strongly support the petition for an Acupuncture Injection Therapy to be added into the scope of practice. It has been demonstrated in numerous states to be an asset and significant help to patients.
