On October 30, 2012 the faculty of Saint Louis University voted No Confidence in the President of the University. On October 31, 2012 the Associated Students of Saint Louis University voted no Confidence in the President of the Saint Louis University. The faculty and students, in the best traditions of Saint Louis University, have finally seen fit to stand up to the injustices perpetrated on them by and through the administration. They have collectively voiced their desire to regain not only the educational stature of the University but also their desire to reclaim its core Jesuit, Catholic mission. It is time for the alumni, by far the largest constituency of the University, to stand in solidarity with the faculty and students and pledge our allegiance to reclaiming the best of Saint Louis University. Therefore, by signing this petition I ask that you commit to refrain from donating any money, time or toil to Saint Louis University, unless and until, the Board of Trustees addresses the concerns of our fellow students and faculty in a genuine and concrete fashion.

Updates

December 5, 2012

The Board of Trustees continues to bury their heads in the sand while our university reputation rots. They are pretending that our silence on donations is just a blip but we know the truth. Keep your wallets shut and your pressure high because they have ignored the faculty and students for too long.

December 5, 2012

The momentum behind this effort is shaking the administration to its core. They thought we would just keep writing checks while they destroyed our mission but they were dead wrong.

Enough is enough. My checkbook is closed until they start listening to the people actually on campus.

This university used to stand for something. Now it feels like a total corporate mess. Fix the mission or stop asking for our money.

Sad to see how far things have fallen. Backing the students and faculty 100% on this one.
