Drugs are a menace and an evil that breeds crime, corruption, gangs and nepotism. It has the potential to destroy Malawi' society, families and future, a future that is in our youth and needs to be dealt with decisively without compromise by the Malawi Government

I fully support the banning of such medicines. Please involve also the human drugs regulatory body, the Pharmacy Medicines and Poison Board (PMP BOARD), the Medical Council of Malawi, the Nurses Council of Malawi and other health related entities.

This very important and we need sanity in the drug management system. PRliament should indeed have this as food for thought. We have many Malawians languishinv on charges of drug trafficking yet it is so easy for expatriets to do simiilar offences and go away easily with the same

This a very welcome development. Needs more public awareness, because even some of the over the counter drugs are being abused. This issue is a serious one and people know their neighbors that are abusing or in the business but no whistle blowing. Sad.

Time for serious action. Time for parents to wake up and relate to their children. Time for communities to arise and create facilities where young people can play sports, do drama, play games. They are bored! There is nothing for them to do because adults are not thinking of them!

Malawi is struggling with high levels of unemployment and youth support is extremely in dire need. In order to maintain the norms of good behaviour that have existed in the past, we have to promote the fight against drug and substance abuse to secure the future of a better Malawi.
