Agree that traffic calming is needed. This doesn’t seem like a good solution. Separate but related issue—why can’t the trail that goes behind the community center be developed to connect to Sweetbriar/Sandalwood by BVE (not the dirt path thru brush)?

This is a dumb idea. Don’t overthink things.

This seems much too extreme a solution. It would be asking a huge change in lifestyle for the people living on the affected street(s), as well.

Please do not fix what is not broken. Burton Valley is a very safe neighborhood. The proposals will change our neighborhood and will add more congestion. This extremely safe neighborhood needs to be removed from this initiative. Thank you.

Support speed bumps, but NOT any berms.

Please listen to the families impacted by these berms. I do not support the building of berms in BV.

Suggest instead that BVE parking be opened for soccer and baseball events - waiting for an adult/child to get hit trying to cross Rohrer dragging coolers, chairs, sporting equipment etc. Saw a passing car take off an open drivers car door a few years ago as driver was unloading her kids. Much more dangerous situation in my view - Accident waiting to happen.

I’ve lived here 25 years and raised two children who never had issues walking in this neighborhood . Perfectly safe.

As a Silverado resident I am firmly in support of speed bumps which actually slow traffic down. Curbs penalize residents of the affected streets but do not slow down those speeding down the streets.

Sheer nonsense!

I have been a BV resident for 20 years and have 3 children. I oppose the proposed creation of multi-use pedestrian / bike / skate paths with a permanent asphalt berm. I agree with statements made by others: - not clearly defining the problem to solve - potentially making things worse by requiring pedestrians/bikes/skateboards to share a path - potentially making things worse by requiring pedestrians to cross the street more than they might need to without the dedicated lanes - potentially making things worse or at least problematic for mail and other deliveries - Creating issues for garbage/recycling pickup - Creating new safety issues if there are drivers (particularly delivery vehicles) who need to make u-turns to park. I am ok with adding the speed bumps at the locations previously proposed and, thus, tracking the data as to how these additional measures are addressing speed concerns. This is a prudent approach before over-investing Lafayette dollars and over-solutioning a plan that clearly does not have the local support.

I reside on Indian Way near Silverado. We do not support the building of berms in BV. We do not support restricted parking for impacted neighbors. We SUPPORT adding speed bumps.

I live on 563 Silverado Drive. I am against: 1. Prohibiting parking on one side of my street 2. Construction of a raised asphalt berm on my street as a physical means to separate pedestrian/auto traffic I am for: 1. Construction of speed humps on my street as an effective and sustainable way to slow down speeding 2. Widening pedestrian walkways on both sides of the street (done already as part of resurfacing project) as an added buffer space Thank you

This is a ridiculous proposal. It is an unnecessary waste of tax payer dollars. Speed bumps and an occasional patrol car would control the twice a day traffic congestion. This is a suburb , and not a city street.

I support speed humps but I do not support the berms , the separate bike/walk path, nor the one way traffic redesign around school.
