يعبر التحالف العربي من أجل السودان والشبكة العربية لإعلام الأزمات عن قلقهما البالغ إزاء مصير عدد من المعتقلين لأسباب سياسية، فقد تم إعتقال أعداد مقدرة من المدنين الأبرياء عقب كل عملية عسكرية بين الجيش السوداني والحركات المسلحة في كل من دارفور، جنوب كردفان والنيل الأزرق بحجة إنتمائهم للحركات، إزاء ذلك تمت حملات مماثلة شنها جهاز الأمن والمخابرات الوطني في عدد من ولايات السودان، خاصة ولاية الخرطوم، وأحيل بعض المعتقلين إلى القضاء بإتهامات تصل عقوبتها إلى الإعدام، بينما مازال بعضهم قيد الاعتقال بدون محاكمة. من بين المعتقلين سياسيين، صحفيين، طلاب ونشطاء حقوقيين في منظمات المجتمع المدني المختلفة. من بينهم نساء.

وقد تدهورت الحالة الصحية لبعض المعتقلين جراء تعرضهم للتعذيب البدني والنفسي القاسي مما جعلهم في حاجه إلى رعاية صحية ، ولم يتمكن ذويهم من زيارتهم للاطمئنان على وضعهم الصحي.

والتحالف العربي من أجل السودان والشبكة العربية لإعلام الأزمات إذ يدينان تلك الإعتقالات العشوائية وعمليات التعذيب المنهجي التي يمارسها الأمن السوداني، يدعوان لوقف الإعتقالات التعسفية ويرفضان الهجمة الشرسة من قبل جهاز الأمن والمخابرات علي الحقوق والحريات، خاصة حرية الرأي والتعبير، يطالبان السلطات أيضاً بوقف هذه الحملات التي تؤدي الي تقويض الحوار الشامل الذي دعا إليه الرئيس، بالإضافة لمخالفة تلك الحملات للدستور السوداني الحالي الذي حصر دور جهاز الأمن والمخابرات في جمع المعلومات وتحليلها ورفعها للجهات المسئولة، ناهيك عن أنها تعتبر إنتهاكاً صريحاً لمواثيق حقوق الإنسان والعهود الدولية التي صادقت عليها الدولة السودانية.

وإنطلاقاً من ذلك يعلن التحالف العربي من أجل السودان والشبكة العربية لإعلام الأزمات عن تدشين حملة واسعة تحت شعار "الحرية حق وليست منحة" لجمع التوقيعات، من أجل المطالبة بإطلاق سراح جميع المعتقلين لأسباب سياسية فوراً أو تقديمهم لمحاكمات عادلة تضع في الاعتبار المدد الزمنية التي قضوها بالمعتقلات.

ويدعو التحالف والشبكة جميع المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان والمنظمات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية، وجميع السودانيين بداخل السودان وخارجه للضغط على النظام في السودان من أجل أطلاق سراح كافة المعتقلين لأسباب سياسية والالتزام بحقوق الإنسان والحريات ، لاسيما حرية الرأي والتعبير.

Important & Urgent Statement

An invitation to participate and sign for detainees release in Sudan

The Arab Coalition for Sudan (ACS) and the Arab Network for Media Crisis (ANMC), expresses their deep concern about the fate of a number of detainees arrested for political reasons, several numbers of innocent civilians, under the pretext of their being members of the armed movements, have been arrested after each military operation between the government's army and the armed movements in Darfur, South Kordofan and the Blue Nile. Similar campaigns have been waged by the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) in a number of Sudan's states, particularly, the state of Khartoum. Some of the detainees were referred to the judiciary on charges punishable by death, whilst some are still under detention without trials. Among those arrested: politicians, journalists, students and human rights activists from various civil society organizations. Detainees included some women. And as a result of physical and psychological cruel torture, the health conditions of some detainees had deteriorated, leaving them in need of health care; whilst their relatives were not even able to visit them to reassure about their health conditions.

ACS and ANMC condemn these arbitrary arrests and systematic torture practiced by NISS, call on to stop the arbitrary arrests and reject the vicious attacks by NISS on rights and freedoms, especially the freedom of opinion and expression. They also call on the authorities to stop these campaigns which undermine the comprehensive dialogue called for by the President, in addition to the violation of those campaigns of Sudan's current constitution, which identified the role of the NISS in collection of information, analyzing and submitting it to the concerned authorities, not to mention that such campaigns are blatant violation of human rights conventions and international covenants ratified by the Sudanese state.

Accordingly, ACS and ANMC declare the launch of an extensive campaign under the slogan "Freedom is a right, not a gift" for gathering of signatures, in order to release all those detained for political reasons promptly, or bring them before fair trials, that takes into account the periods of time, they already spent under detention.

The ACS & ANMC call on all human rights defenders, local and international organizations, as well as Sudanese people, inside Sudan and abroad, to put pressure on the Sudan's regime for the release of those detained for political reasons, and to ensure commitment to human rights and freedoms, particularly, the freedom of opinion and expression.
