I for one had a job all throughout school and would not have had time to do my homework if it were not for IS and the Mathlab. Second I am going to school for graphic design and I will probably be an art teacher one day and I would hate to see girls who are very talented be unable to go to any art classes or electives that will benefit their future.

Having a block schedule with IS prepares Chapelle students for a college-like schedule. Think about students involved in extracurricular activities. Having the time to be involved builds character and strengthens skills that are not developed in the classroom. Being involved in organizations and volunteering in the community is strongly encouraged by Chapelle faculty and administration, as it should be. Give students the opportunity to learn in and outside of the classroom. Keep the block scheduling so that students can get everything they can out of school, including proper time management and leadership skills. -Proud Chipmunk Alum

My daughter has been saving her culinary electives for senior year because she is interested in pursuing this as a career. If these classes are not offered, she will not be able to decide if this is the career she wants. The block schedule gives the girls more time in each class to learn and IS gives them time to get help or complete homeowrk. This is a very bad idea!

My daughter is interested in perusing her dream in culinary ,she plans enroll in the John Folse program at Nicholls State .Taking the advanced foods class away from her would impact her future plans.She has been looking forward to taking this class for several years.It is sad that one can not see the value of these types of classes. Lauren has a 4.2 GPA and has so far a 24 on her ACT. I am proud that she has direction and drive and passion for her future. Taking these classes away would be a disservice to many.I am disappointed .

Chapelle must improve their curriculum in order to be competitive. The scorces are low and the academics must be improved or Chapelle will not exist in 10 years. I strongly support these changes and anyone with a vested interest in seeing their child excel should support also. Don't make an emotional decision without understanding all the facts

The block schedule is one of the best parts of going to Chapelle.
