I was in one classes that started with block scheduling and I found that it helped a great deal with understanding concepts and being able to ask more in depth questions. Also Electives were a musst for all of us. It prepared me for many of the things college threw at me. Basic class are essential but also developing the creative mind is essential to be able to "think out of the box" like now all corporate companies want us to do. I work for the government and we are always asked to be creative in solutions. My sister and I both attended chapelle as well as some of my co workers and we all agree that the block scheduling was one of the best thing Chapelle did. It help also with the block schedules that all Universities schedule. It improved time management and even personal scheduling - all attributes that are need in every day life. Please do not change the scheduling because you will be cause a severe disservice to the students in the their future accomplishments

WI believe it would be a huge so backwards to a 6 class schedule with no block schedule and I.S. It was a tremendous help to all three of my children to have only 4 classes a day. I believe it better prepared them for the longer classes in college. I sincerely hope you do not change the current curriculum.

Keep the block schedule!!! It was a great aspect of my Chapelle life. Not only did it provide me sufficient amount of time to focus on a subject, it helped to prepare me for a college schedule. Also by keeping the classes to 4 a day also helped to prepare me for college lectures where it would be over an hour long. I saw other college peers struggle to adjust to this change of lecture time, where as I was used to it thanks to the four classes a day structure of my Chapelle career. Finally, I.S was a great help to completing my homework before going home for the day. I would usually try to finish the homework I had for the next day during IS. Also it was incredibly helpful if I had a test the next day. I could focus on the subject for my test instead of splitting my time between several different subjects. I can't even begin to imagine what a relief I.S was to students that had after school activities and sports to do.

4 classes a day was one of y favorite things about chapelle!! Being able to focus on only a few subjects at a time was so helpful. I never felt overloaded and it allowed for great time management of homework and projects by being able to alternate when I had to work on different subjects!

The block schedule was great and was a great introduction to a college schedule. IS gave me a chance to start homework and if you had questions there were people you could ask then instead of waiting until you got home. The schedule was a huge reason that I chose to go there. Please don't change it!

KEEP THE BLOCK SCHEDULE! I helped me prepare for college by not having all of my classes on the same day. IS needs to stay as well. When I was a student, especially junior and senior year, I had no time between work and school to complete all my school work. IS really helped me get some of my work done & allowed me to visit the math lab to get the one-on-one help I needed in algebra.

The block schedule was the best part of my 5 years at chapelle. Changing students from 4 classes to six is ridiculous! It's worked for a long time, leave it alone!

Chapelle hands down had the best art program in the metropolitan area. Tennis and golf, although I did not play tem competitively, they are both very disciplined sports. The block schedule an amazing way for students to prioritize their studies, and as a teacher, I can say that it allows the teachers to present full lessons Including content knowledge and allows time for explorative activities. The additional time that students and teachers get with the block schedule is one of the main reasons that I feel allowed me to grow closer relationships with my peers and teachers. There are so many other reasons that I am thinking about as to why these proposed changes would hurt the Chapelle community and the loyalty to our alma mater. Just as it says in our alma mater, " memories mingle, joy and sadness of lifelong friendships, TRUE..... LOYAL to green and white, TRUSTING ALWAYS in OUR Motto, GOD WILL PROVIDE!" Be loyal to your loyal alums, and allow our future daughters to get the same opportunities that we had as chipmunks. Chipmunk alums have lifelong friendships, this is true. Change is good, but loyalty is better and stronger for our Chipmunk Pride.

The blocked scheduling was one of my main attractions to ACHS. It allows the girls to focus more on a group of subjects a day without overwhelming everyone. The longer classes allowed for more time to cover things in particular classes and many allowed for questions and personal help from the teacher. I.S was something that helped out with a busy after school schedule (whether is was for a school function, work, club, athletics, etc.).

I looked forward to having my IS time to get some of my home work done so that I didn't have to be overwhelmed when I got home. This also gave me the time to ask any of my teachers anything may have not understood during class. As far as electives go, taking away this from the girls can hurt some of them in the long run. If it wasn't for chapelle's art class I would have never even known or explored my talents I had in that factor. Same goes for any activities, it opens door way for our girls that they may have never even thought of doing. One of my favorite things that chapelle's offered us was that we only had four classes a day, this way I could do my home work according to my classes. When I got home I didn't have six subjects to study or do home work for. It gave me time to apply the accurate amount of time to each class. I graduated from chapelle's in 2011 and the way there system worked then is how I would want it to work when I send my children there. Not how y'all want it to be

Having IS and math lab in high school really helped me out and electives help any students be more well rounded. I now have a daughter and can't wait for her to follow in my foot steps but if these changes took place I probably wouldn't want her to do so
