This makes no sense when Accokeek Academy is less than a mile from our front door!

Why would we swap for an over crowded middle and high school? Someone isn't doing the math well here...

This makes absolutely no sense. The Preserve is less than a half mile away from the school...why on earth would you bus children to a school much farther away???? Come on folks, lets use some common sense here.

I do not agree with the proposed boundary changes of Accokeek Academy effecting the Preserve at Piscataway.

Accokeek Academy was on of the main reason we decided to purchase in the preserve. In fact it was one of the leading selling points that the developer promoted. If the zone restructuring takes place I can see a lot of upset home owners that will probably move.

One of the main reasons we considered moving to the neighborhood was because of the school. There should be pressure to finish the construction project so then maybe there will be sufficient room for all the children.

I moved into The Preserve community in 2013 when my son was 1 and schools were part of the reason for the location choice. Accokeek Academy has a great reputation and a school that I intended for my son to attend when the time was appropriate. Our community is in very close proximity to this school and it doesn't make sense to bus our kids to another communities school. I oppose this zone restructuring for The Preserver community as it does us a grave injustice in providing the best education for our children. Please reconsider NOW. Thank you. Terry K. Williams Sr.

The proximityof Accokeek Academy to the Preserve was primarily the reason for home ownership by my son. It is disappointing for the residents of the Preserve to bear the burden of commuting and absolutely impractical and senseless as the vision for Pre-K to 12 grade is just half a mile away. This is a wake-up call to the delegates and senators of this jurisdiction to manifest their care and concern for their constituents. My grandchildren deserve world class education in their neighborhood. As residents of Prince George's county , who have responsibly paid county and property taxes, it is only fiting for politicians to fight fof this cause.

Makes 0 sense to switch the closest neighborhood to.the school to a school further away. Where is the logic in this?

My son begins Pre-K next year and I would like him to attend Accokeek Academy.

Although, my children are not students at Accokeek Academy, the recommendation to rezone the children living in The Preserve at Piscataway is not logical based on the proximity from the neighborhood to the school alone. Furthermore, when many of us moved here years ago we were told we would have a school zoned for our neighborhood. That never happened and now they're trying to take away the rights of our children to attend Accokeek Academy, which IS their neighborhood school for all intense purposes. This is clearly unjust and the long term effects of a such a poor decision will have a negative impact on this region of the county in many ways. Has anyone reached out to Mel Franklin or Ms. Proctor? I really hope this proposal is reconsidered!

One of the main reasons we moved to The Preserve at Piscataway was so that our children could attend Accokeek Academy. We find it extremely discouraging and absolutely unjust that a proposal would be made to transfer our children to another school when Accokeek Academy (in any and every sense of the terms) is our neighborhood school. It also is unfair that we are being singled out as the only neighborhood in the Accokeek zip code for reassignment. I also am protesting this adjustment because it is excessive. It seems to me our neighborhood could still be included in Accokeek Academy's zone without it being overenrolled. The solution being proposes is therefore over-broad and unfair.

It makes no sense to remove the Preserve at Piscataway from the boundaries for the Accokeek Academy. This community is a 2 minute drive from the school. Clearly areas at the furthest distances should be limited first

We live in Accokeek, our children should attend The Accokeek school. We live less than a mile from the school.
