Don't change the boundary - keep it the way it is. Let the closest neighborhood children remain at AA.

Our children in the Preserve should continue to attend school in their zone, which is Accokeek Academy. I understand there is overcrowding in the school. However, this should have been discussed before they decided to build the entire development. Meanwhile, the developer are still building.

This is a horribly disruptive proposal from PGCPS. Although I am not privledged to live in the Preserves, I take pride in this vibrant community. Continued poor planning on the part of PGCPS should not burden tax paying residents of the Preserves or other communities in the County. We all deserve better!!!

I moved into P.G. County and bought a newly built home in the Preserve in 2013 because my children would be attending Accokeek Academy and have a short bus ride to elementary and middle school. We are decades past the need to force busing for segregation or desegregation. We need to shorten bus time for more students, not lengthen bus time. There has been a lot of housing construction in southern P.G. County. That increased property and income tax income needs to be spent in the communities that generate it, starting with schools and continuing with the roads.
The Preserve was trying to get a walking path built to Accokeek Academy. I would rather walk my youngest child to Accokeek Academy than have him ride a bus elsewhere.

My son goes to accokeek academy, and I would like his younger sister to go there as well and prevent them from being in two different schools.

Preserve residents are parents active in the school, serving as officers and longtime members of the PTSA. The Preserve is also home to some Accokeek teachers. It is absolutely ridiculous to bus children who actually reside in Accokeek to any other school.
