Public access should not be blocked to a "public paved fire road". A year is ample time allotment to effect necessary changes for mitigation of public exposure to this hazardous condition.

Kind of sad it takes a petition and a meeting to do something so common sense and useful.

This section of trail is in terrible shape and only very strong and fit people are able to traverse it. Without a safe alternate, it effectively blocks the public from full access to the ridgeline route.

As a doctor, hiker and biker I see this as a safety issue and the city is potentially very liable for any misadventures because of lack of safe access

I strongly support the current proposal and urge the City Council to approve. This should have been approved a year ago.

Sad that the private road keeps bikes and pedestrians out, should never have been approved, but the best we can do now is build a decent bypass for what should be an easy-access trail connecting the two "upper" parts of Laguna beach.

Safe passage should be enjoyed by all in Laguna Beach and not restricted to a select few. This is long overdue.

I used this path one time and decided it was too dangerous.

The current trail is very difficult to enjoy with small children in strollers - much needed revisions!
