Best thing about Holyhead is the breakwater wall disabled and elderly people are restricted to it now

This is such a fantastic feat of engineering and should be enjoyed by all and not just another place on Anglesey left to rot!!!

It should never have shut! Its a part of Holyhead history... and used to be the most perfect training run, sunday morning walk and fishing spot!!

as a disables sea angler in a wheel chair being able to drive up the break water is a great help as their is not many fishing places accessable to a wheel chair bound sea angler

I have 2 points ... In this day and age, can holyhead afford to have the breakwater closed ... i suspect thousands of anglers fish the breakwater annually, bringing in much needed cash into the town's economy. Anglers fish the breakwater because of the ease of fishing it affords, both to firm and infirm anglers. We are not all angels, but I bet it wasn't an angler who allegedly fell off the wall ... Once again, it feels like the majority are being penalised for the actions of some idiot(s).

it was one of the better venues the the infirm could attend and the young could start there fishing adventures

As a disabled angler I find this totally wrong, if they are going to close it then it should be closed to everyone, as it is now, it's the disabled people who are suffering yet again...

i think we need to organise ourselves into a petition group and look to have action days where we close access to the port in protest, lets see if they like it !!!!!
