Many of us look forward to the Academy Awards each year, though we question ourselves as to why by the end of the long evening. It\'s bad enough listening to the recipients thank everyone from Moses to their 1st grade teacher but this year we are going to have to brace ourselves to listen to their political opinions about George Bush and the showdown with Iraq. It\'s highly unlikely that any of these so called celebrities have a degree in political science. Many of them didn\'t even finish high school. But somehow being able to spew out foul language and remove their clothes in front of a movie camera has made them experts on foreign affairs and economics. In the not so noble tradition of \"Hanoi\" Jane, they honestly believe they are leaders of the common folk who have unwittingly made them millionaires. It\'s amazing that a group who has benefited more than any other by the \"life, liberty and pursuit of happiness\" principal are the ones least likly to defend it. So, accept your Oscar,thank your mother and leave the postulating to the experts.
