The mobile operators have confirmed the permanent removal of roaming charges across the island. This change takes effect immediately for all existing contracts. We will monitor the implementation to ensure full compliance across every network.
We the undersigned call for all mobile phone operators to abolish roaming charges across the island of Ireland, which have a considerably negative impact on citizens living in border areas, those engaged in business on both sides of the border and the development of our island economy.
We are approaching one hundred signatures which is the threshold required to trigger a formal review by the regulatory board. Please distribute this link to your professional contacts in border regions so we secure this meeting by the end of the week.

As this is one island I do not believe here should be a roaming charge. Another way to get money out of people.

Living in Donegal and paying extra to call my cousin in Derry is pure robbery. Sort it out.

My phone bill goes up every time I visit family across the border. It is one island and should be treated like one.
