I want to abolish the House of Lords and replace it with an elected House. This would be similar to the USA in that Counties get allocated a number of 'Delegates' depending on population. These would be in place for 5 year
The present House is full of failed politicians and pompous heriditary Peers who know nothing of our lives.
I am honestly stunned by how many people feel the same way about this issue. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I am just the person who hit start on the page.

At the moment it costs the taxpayer £100 million pounds to pay this lot. There were about 200 who didn't vote yesterday. Replace with appropriate number of elected people per party. Maximum 100 people.

Time to shut down a failed and abused system and make an elected system with less people, Elected by the people one from each county would be much a fairer system. Given a maximum of five years tenantcy.

The house of lords is an unelected body which stands in the way of the will of the people, it is mostly a club for the privileged to manipulate laws without any concern for the voters wishes, when they can be bothered to turn up, and when they do no matter for how long, they claim £300.

Absolutely disgraceful that these people who are overly wealth compared with the man in the street can rake in £300 per day whilst people can't get vital cancer treatment etc. and many hard working families are struggling to pay household bills. Have they no conscience? Obviously not!
