This cycle lane should have been removed once the children went back to school. It is hardly being used. The work and school traffic is completely backed up.

I'm all for cycling, but this is one of the most ridiculous ideas I've seen in this city for some time...wait until business's start bringing EE's back to work , the Condell road will be backed up all the way to the Coonagh roundabout..

The traffic is a disgrace since this decision was made

This makes no sense to early morning traffic especially when the winter weather takes hold. There will be increased traffic and less lanes and chaos with an empty cycle lane!! You can’t do a switch you never gradual change. Why not a outside boardwalk for pedestrians and the paths for cyclists. Do planners not have to drive children safely to school!!!

Surprised at the lack of comprehension of north side traffic. Survey should show virtually no use of outbound pedestrian way. Any cyclist including Cycle bus takes no longer than 40 Sec to cross bridge comfortably without lane closure . Incidentally the traffic lane is a shared space for cyclists and motorist alike. All for forward planning for the city but in a respectful manner to all . Long term solutions requested not Quick fixes

This is a disgraceful decision that has to be reversed. The traffic on the Ennis Road, Shelbourne Road and Condell Road is a disgrace since the schools went back

There are 40 cars a minute going over bridge as against 4 bikes an hour give way to majority not minority who have big mouths

There is gridlock on the nortside, with up to 15 minutes delay because of this lane closure, the council need to cop on, they want to burn tyres so people can inhale toxic air as you cycle to work, FFS wake up Limerick

No room on bridge at present to accommodate this, it was just a easy and quick fix

While I have no issues with cycling becoming more accessible in Limerick is isn't the way to do it. As many people before me have stated this has ultimately harmed the city as Shannon bridge is harder to drive on, on top of the fact the area it leads to is woefully unsafe for the cyclists who would be using the cycle path, in my opinion the best way forward would be a purpose built bridge for foot traffic and cyclists

Get rid of the cycle lanes, traffic is crazy over it. No one will use it much in winter

Its made the road more dangerous and the traffic worse. Build a boardwalk on the outside of the bridge for pedestrians and allow the bikes use the footpath.

Too dangerous to leave them there particularly with the junction that turns right up towards Ard Scoil and Salesians
