When are we going to stop letting these money hungry giants openly breaching The Code? People need to understand infant nutrition is a very serious problem in Ireland, not in developing countries, in IRELAND, where these companies are allowed free reign for profit

Baby fairs should be handing out leaflets about breast feeding, the importance of it and the massive health benefits for both mother and baby. Numbers and websites for support and no mention of bottles or companies that support formula.

If all pregnant women see formula advertising they are going to be influenced and some may even think that this is better than breastfeeding there is so much advertising for this already no need to put it in baby fairs instead why not advertise for once pro breastfeeding

In the interests of babies and society in general, breastfeeding should not be undermined in this way and the WHO guidelines ignored. I will not be attending this Fair as long as it is sponsored by SMA.

Sponsored events such as this benefit no-one except the sponsors. It undermines breastfeeding and makes formula feeding more expensive for parents who need or choose to use formula.
