Abandon Right of Way for Public Access on Swiftwater Drive

We don’t need more traffic in the neighborhood.

This access point was for a way out of Raspberry drive. Not to allow access to another subdivision by way of a currently cul-de-sac on Swiftwater drive through a single point of entry on Raspberry Drive at Highway 15. This will create significantly more traffic and cause safety issues on both Stillwater Drive and Raspberry Drive. As all traffic in both directions would cross the golf course path (golf carts and pedestrians) twice, pass through a 3 way stop, a 4 way stop and also endanger pedestrians and children as there are no sidewalks in Raspberry Falls. In light of these dangers due to an estimated 477% increase in vehicle trips, I recommend the County abandon the right of way at Swiftwater Dr.

Additional traffic through an already congested chokepoint in Raspberry Falls is dangerous and illogical. The additional traffic will cause huge issues with the quality of life for Raspberry Falls residents. Dump trucks, dozers and all other heavy equipment going through Raspberry Falls and the very narrow Swiftwater will truly be a war zone - not to mention the residents having to contend with roads littered by and damaged by such heavy equipment. Not sure how you safely get heavy machinery through Swiftwater and the neighborhood in general with children present and many nearby bus stops? Please consider the Raspberry Falls residents' safety!

Please abandon the right of way. Creating an access point through Raspberry Falls would create excessive traffic, speeding is already an issue and the added traffic on Rt 15 is a terrible idea.

The Geronimo household on Levade is signing this petition and we are against for the new development to use Raspberry Drive as their entry.

Ridiculous that they are trying to cut through Raspberry Falls on Swiftwater. That cul de sac is so narrow. Would be incredibly dangerous.

Given that Tutt Lane is currently used for the existing home located on this large piece of property, and that same road is used to enable thousands of vehicles to access Morven Park for various equestrian events and entertainment functions (Polo in the Park, etc...) it is perplexing to me that a brand new development with 70+ homes would use a very small street (Swiftwater Drive) to provide NEW residents, homeowners and regular vendors access to their homes. Swiftwater Drive is not designed for an additional 70-80 households to traverse daily; rather - it is designed to serve 13 EXISTING homes. I fully support the abandonment of the County's right of way at Swiftwater Drive in our community for Wrightfield Estates to use as their entryway. It is not a safe or well-conceived plan for either community. Thank you for your careful consideration.

Piggybacking a new community entry off an already congested road is a poor idea.

How is this even a question. Over 750 cars a day on Swiftwater, they should post an ambulance there, it will be busy. Abandon the right of way.

Please do not allow a right away in a community with already a large amount of vehicles traveling down Raspberry Drive to the golf club on a street with no sidewalks. Pedestrian safety is a major concern as well as the traffic load and safety concerns imposed on the residents of Swiftwater… a residential street not ever intended to be a thoroughfare

please abandon the ROW in the RF community as the neighborhood cannot handle it and safety is already an issue that we are dealing with.

Adamantly request to abandon any changes to Swiftwater .

We don’t want the connecting road. Traffic is already bad and a lot of speedy drivers in the neighborhood.

Safety and traffic congestion

The reality of traffic growth and congestion in the area, a busy single linear road without sidewalks already serving a large community and active golf course, and narrow Swiftwater drive fronting yards with children playing render obsolete the original logic of this right of way as a connector to yet another large community.

The safety of our neighborhood would be greatly impacted if this were to go through. There are already too many vehicles utilizing our roads.
