I have seen a lot of bad driving behaviour at the junction over the years. Part of the problem is it's an arterial route with a lot of traffic, so people use the junction as an opportunity to get past the slower moving vehicles. This entire section of the A350 from near Chippenham to Melksham is problematical and needs improving.

Yes, I agree we frequently have cars overtaking and speeding dangerously to do so at this junction.

This junction has been known to be dangerous for years. The latest fatality was our son. Changes MUST be made and as SOON AS POSSIBLE. The time for reviews is passed ... There have been too many deaths .. One is too many. I cannot understand how councillor Philip Whitehead can say that in his opinion there is no problem with the junction! There blatantly is. Right turn filter lights would vastly improve safety and single lanes for left turn and straight on have been used successfully in many locations ... McDonalds entrance further along this very road and Morrisons entrance on the outskirts of Wells in Somerset .. A junction that I frequently use .. To name but two. A further option may be to convert the whole junction into a roundabout but in any case action MUST BE TAKEN NOW before the next life is lost.

Too many chance takers and accidents happen due to current road markings something needs to change.

I use this road daily for work, it is so dangerous with idiots trying to squeeze through a tight space once they've overtaken cars, I'm surprised I've not witnessed a head on accident in the past 4 years. This is a fast road, there has been numerous accidents, how many more need to die before something is done, if it was one of your family we would have the best road markings in Wiltshire.

Need to make the road into a duel carriageway how many more people are going to be killed before something is done about it

Seen too many near misses on this road especially by people who gamble on the lights trying to overtaking on the outside lane through the lights.

As a regular driver through this junction I agree that a left only lane would be much safer and stop risky overtaking / cutting in that I see. It is required in both directions.

When will the killing end! One accident is enough! In the past this road was considered dangerous, more so now Chippenham and Melksham are so built up.Please, the people with the power to change this...CHANGE THIS.!

Listen up Mr. Philip Whitehead. I travel this road regularly and on numerous occasions I witness near misses when travelling towards Chippenham when vehicles in the right hand lane are left nowhere to go after the lights change. As a local I know the problem and avoid trying to "get past a lorry" at this junction. I also notice there is a nice horse crossing which I have never seen in use. How many horses have been killed at this crossing?
