I've thought for many years the left hand lane should simply be for turning left and the right hand lane for straight ahead by the Whitehall crossroads (whichever way you're coming from). Stop delaying the inevitable and make this happen, it catches drivers out time and time again whether it be experienced, impatient or inexperienced and the numbers of accidents on this stretch proves it.

Most of chippenham and outskirts need to be clearly marked rather than spending money on bypasses that are perfectly fine for the moment peoples lives are more Important than reduced traffic at rush hour

It's a route I use with my children to drive them to their clubs. I'm concerned now about the recent accidents, clearly there is a problem. Vehicles do drive fast on this route, speed cameras could assist and pump that money back into the council to improve the markings and ATS.

I go to college at lackham and that is an accident every week on these roads, people are dying and ending up seriously hurt! Something seriously needs to be done, getting ridiculous now.

Too many accidents at this junction over the past decade - the latest fatality being a friend & colleague.
In view of the the number of serious accidents and the recent deaths, I find Philip Whitehead's comment that "I personally do not think there are any problems with it.", made the day after the latest fatality, nothing short of offensive.

I use this road daily and see so many horrific accidents, I just wonder will the next one be for me or my family and friends.

Vehicles approach that section far too fast 50 becomes 60 plus they gamble the light will stay green a sighted Police Camera would help stop all this and also get back in road markings.
