I use this section of the A350 Mon-Fri. The current layout contributes to some very dangerous driver behavior and needs to be changed to prevent further serious accidents.

As a local resident I use this section of road regularly and often encounter hazardous merging and overtaking. I fully agree with the proposed layout changes to make the junction safer.

Road markings need to be changed. Cars always squeezing past to get in front. Cars approach lights too fast.

I travel through this junction often and it never fails to produce an example of poor driving induced by even poorer road marking. If Philip Whitehead thinks "there are not any problems with it" then he is the wrong man for his job. This is not the only example of very poor road marking in Wiltshire.

I have experienced road rage and aggressive drivers overtaking at this junction and the sooner this stretch of road can be returned to a "normal" carriageway from a race track the better.
Perhaps live camera video stream straight to Philip Whiteheads desk would help him understand first hand the how dangerous this junction layout is.

I think that the current markings encourage the more competitive driver to take risks - the opportunity for a fast approaching driver to jump or anticipate the lights changing is very tempting and dangerous

I commute to/from work each day via this junction, and expect a safety issue just about every time - it would be very easy and cheap to resolve the problem with a few dabs of white paint as suggested.

I travel the A350 through this junction every day at rush hours. It is extremely dangerous with traffic encouraged to use all lanes to get through the traffic lights, without enough road to merge safely afterwards. It is unbelievable that Philip Whitehead "thinks there are no problems with it".

I drive to work on this route at peak times 3 times a week and often witness drivers in the outside lane driving far too fast and then having difficulty getting into the inside lane as the traffic merges. This is a very dangerous stretch of road and all of my work colleagues discuss near misses on a regular basis.

very dangerous road and always has been, surely some of the Council big wigs use the road from time to time, and can see the problem or are they too thick.

I use this cross roads junction on a daily basis, it makes my blood run cold every time I pass over it as there are usually people driving badly and using it as an opportunity to dangerously overtake.

Please would Wiltshire Council consider the lane markings as a matter of urgency, without waiting for any reports. Why do nothing and allow further lives to be lost, and more families to go through grief?

Well done for raising this concern it's about time someone tackled this the amount of times I have been cut up and nearly taken out by idiot drivers trying to overtake. I dread using this road and try avoiding it when the children are in the car it's so dangerous.
