There has been a huge increase in the volume of traffic on this stretch of road in recent years, especially in the summer as this is the main route for holidaymakers wanting to enjoy the delights of West Cornwall. This has increased pollution levels for people living in the many houses along the road and made it difficult for vehicles trying to drive anywhere - a bypass is badly needed here

We need this urgently, the tourist traffic is a nightmare for both residents and tourists alike, tailback from both directions are becoming a daily grind.

Nearly a 100% of local residents and businesses are screaming for improved safety measures on this stretch of the A30 in the short term and a bypass in the longer term. The volume of traffic is increasing year on year and so are the number of accidents. There is a busy primary school near a notoriously dangerous junction , only one safe lights controĺled pedestrian crossing place and speed limits which are set far too high. This stretch of the A30 is an 'accident waiting to happen' on a daily basis.
