Couldn't agree more. People just want to get home with their family at the end of the day. After 3 o'clock. You can barely move, let alone when people don't know where they're going or it's holiday season.

This is a much needed project. However, it will fail if there are not adequate numbers of junctions enabling motorists to leave and join this dual carriageway. The reason? If we merely construct a dual carriageway from Camborne to Penzance all one will do is to transfer the traffic jam to outside Penzance at the end of the dual carriageway. This of course will create traffic jams backing up the traffic from the west and the north trying to access the supermarkets! The other thing that will need to be done is to make length filter lanes on the dual carriageway (this three lanes at that point) and widen the roads for a stretch that are feeding traffic to/from the dual carriageway for traffic will be going from a high capacity dual carriageway to a low capacity “B” of “C” class road – a recipe for traffic jam if ever there was one!

A bold scheme, but would benefit West Cornwall enormously. Congestion is so frequent in this area.

Thank you for doing this! We are all fed up with the endless queues every time we leave and return to Penzance. The residents of Crowlas deserve a bypass.

Desperately needed

This summer the traffic through Crowlas is the worst I have ever seen in 21 years, often at a standstill. Several crashes and near misses and I have witnessed cars going through red lights in Crowlas as obviously so impatient with the bottleneck slowness. When it is clear, many speed through far in excess of the 40 mph allowed by law. The noise and pollution is also unbearable. PLEASE give us a bypass. Thankyou.

Urgent need for a by- pass between Newport roundabout and St Earth creamery, the traffic is unbelievably heavy and very slow moving and then 50. -60 mph in the evening when the traffic has abated .

In conjunction with Carland Cross to Chiverton Cross, this is an essential proposal to ensure effective and reliable traffic movement in West Cornwall. The sooner the better!

We require Cornwalls roads to be made safer in line with roads in the SE of the UK.

A new road would be much safer for everyone.

Such a road is well overdue. As usual the West Cornwall doesn’t exist.

I do so agree. Dualling of the treacherous, penny-pinching stretch between Camborne and St Erth is well overdue as is the St Erth to Newtown section.

This will improve the flow of traffic at peak times of the day and help reduce the toxic emissions in Crowlas

This leg of the A30 is the last that still goes through villages - all the other villages between Penzance and Exeter previously on the A30 have been bypassed. Thought needs to be given to a solution.

The dual carriageway makes sense in view of the amount of traffic that uses the road from Camborne to Penzance. It would be much safer & ease the traffic congestion during the holiday periods.

This is well overdue and would improve hugely the connectivity in Cornwall.

This is simply a must for the good of west Cornwall business's and the lucrative holiday trade
